RPR Motors specializes in the repair and optimization of your Tesla.
More and more vehicles are breaking down or are limited in their range. Why is that?
It is now highly likely that the battery probably has moisture damage. Even an HV battery is not completely waterproof. Valves, seals, covers and other attachments must and should be checked, serviced and replaced after a certain period of time (approx. 5 years), regardless of their mileage.
…that still works? Thanks to our many years of experience with Tesla vehicles and many successful battery repairs, we have now developed a concept for servicing batteries before they fail. To possibly prevent or at least drastically delay moisture damage.
Important information:
The battery is not opened during maintenance so as not to exceed the maintenance costs.

Your high-voltage battery is first removed and inspected. We then read out all the really relevant battery data via CAN bus, such as CAC values (of the individual bricks), internal resistance, degradation, charging cycles, etc.
At the same time, we remove the side protective strips, clean them and replace the so-called umbrella valves so that your battery pack can “breathe” again. Now the frequently rusted fuse cover is replaced by our high-quality, CNC-milled aluminum cover, while the Pyro Fuse is checked and replaced if necessary. The battery pack is now checked for leaks and the battery is then reinstalled.
As an extra, we check the humidity in the drive unit directly.
Under normal circumstances, maintenance takes 5 hours. You are welcome to spend the waiting time in our reception with Wifi and a cup of coffee or stretch your feet directly at the Nürburgring or get a picture of the beautiful Eifel. You can now book an appointment directly here.
Here you can see the side protective strips. These can only be removed and cleaned with the battery removed.
Here you can see a typical case of a rusted fuse cover.
Easy to recognize: soiled & dirty umbrella valves
also very easy to recognize: The rear plate oxidizes and the sealing compound is infiltrated with moisture. The BMS was completely destroyed by water ingress.
Dirt & grime everywhere. Nice to see the imprints of the valves and thus also clear that they can no longer work properly with the density of the dirt.
This must be prevented: Moisture penetrates the individual cells of the modules.
